The book deals with the influence of migration on German-Turkish relations between 1961 and 2000. Not only is a historical formulation of bilateral relations presented, but it is emphasized in this work that German-Turkish relations have led to a structural change under the influence of global political events. Since the tensions between the two countries triggered by the refugee question are currently a challenge for Turkish foreign policy and for relations with the EU, the work offers a historical perspective for considering foreign policy in the context of migration.
